Volume 19.171 species of Conoidea are recorded from the Upper Oligocene of Aquitaine basin, accounting for nearly 14 % of all the gastropods that can be found there. Approximately 50 species were previously known from the same deposits. Out of these 171 species, 63 are described as new.

Cossmanniana 23.The Upper Oligocene (Chattian) of the Adour Basin contains 35 species of the families Babyloniidae (2 species), Harpidae (2 species), Costellariidae (7 species), Turbinellidae (2 species), Mitridae (6 species), Charitodoronidae (5 species), Pyramimitridae (1 species), Ancillariidae (6 species) and Olividae (4 species). Among them 8 new species are described (1 Babyloniidae, 3 Costellariidae, 1 Mitridae, 3 Charitodoronidae) and 6 are left in open nomenclature.
