Cahier d'artiste réunissant 32 compositions originales non signées de Béatrice Kohler-Starakis (pliage, collage et technique mixte sur vélin) au format 21 x 29,7 cm. Ensemble exceptionnel. Béatrice Starakis, née à Athènes en 1938, travaille le papier comme un sculpteur : elle se sert de ciseaux et de colle et de peinture pour transformer une matière plane, fragile, éphémère, neutre. Les papiers, troués, découpés, ciselés, collés, deviennent des tableaux à plusieurs dimensions : plans successifs, subtilité et explosion des couleurs, contours et détours qui introduisent des perspectives inattendues, une esthétique précieuse et poétique qui offre ou plutôt suggère l'opportunité d'une traversée des apparences, désir de traverser l'opacité des êtres, voiles qui se lèvent lentement, transparences de fenêtres ouvertes sur des jardins clos et sur l'infini des ciels (présentation de son exposition à l'Orangerie du Luxembourg, 2009).‎
