Der Text von Kaprow in Englisch und im Anhang in der Italienischen Übersetzung beigegeben. Die Geste der Höflichkeit als Kunstwerk. - Documentation of a happening by Allan Kaprow performed in Napoli, Italy, in March, 1976. In this happening different sets of couples follow instructions navigating ways for them to pass through doorways. Text in English. "MANEUVERS was carried out by a small number of couples in the environs of Napoli, Italy, in March of 1976. Each couple was independent of the others, but when the program was completed they met together to discuss their experiences. The Activity was sponsered by Framart Studio."‎

Als Textvorlage für die nie erschienene Anthologie der edition et gedacht. Mit handschriftlicher Notiz von Kaprow auf dem Titelblatt "Note: I hope i didnt send you this one already. If so please write to me immediately and i'll send a different one. A.K." - Das Happening wurde im Juni bis September 1966 in New York, Boston und Los Angeles (bei Sohm in Pasadena) aufgeführt. "This was one of the most important happenings of Allan Kaprow’s career, and not because of its impact or visibility in its time, but because of the implications that are grounded conceptually in its development. And this is because his approach signifies a challenge for Kaprow himself, taking to the limit the idea of experimentation in art and its blurring with life" (Soledad Gutierrez). Der Text erschien gedruckt 1966 in der Sammlung "Some recent happenings" in der Something Else Press in der Reihe 'A Great Bear Pamphlet' S.12-13. - 1964 wurde der Text von Kaprow auf der Schallplatte "How to Make a Happening" vorgelesen. "A program is nothing more than a short list of situations or images jotted down on a few sheets of paper. Sometimes they have some notes attached at the end. These programs are sent out to a group of people that might be interested in participating. Those who are come to a meeting where the happening is discussed and the practical details of who does what and when are ironed out. Then, as soon as possible, the piece is put into action. (...) The program is just literature, not the happening themselve".
