First printing of Jordan and Fock's paper on what they called: ""new uncertainty characteristics and electromagnetic fields"". Here they examined how the quantized field strengths in Dirac's theory were to be measured and the status of the uncertainty relations with respect to these quantities. These examinations caused that for a while it seemed that particle theory and field theory might be in conflict.
