Homann lavorò inizialmente per David Funk e Giacomo Sandrart per poi pubblicare nel 1707 il suo primo atlante "Grosser Atlas". La mappa mostra una particolare cura nella rappresentazione delle coste e nella toponomastica. Cartiglio molto elaborato. Antiche note manoscritte al verso. Di grandi dimensioni.
