After the introduction of the journal, this first half of this volume contains primarily papers on Coleoptera (mostly written by Illiger): Nachtrag und Berichtigungen zum Verzeichnisse der Käfer Preussens (94 p.) / Ist es richtiger, Genus durch Geslecht oder durch Gattung auszudrükken? (10 p.) / Neue Insekten (44 p. - mostly Coleoptera and Hymenoptera) etc. etc. One of the greatest rarities in entomological literature published by the famous Johann Illiger (1775-1815). No plates have been published in this journal.

One of the greatest rarities in entomological literature published by the famous Johann Illiger (1775-1815). No plates have been published in this journal. The very rare vol. 6 is missing. We have added a photocopy of volume 5. According to Horn-Schenkling: "Der sechste Band ist fast in der ganzen Auflage verbrannt und äusserst Selten!". Some marginal worming, the fourth volume in a binding that once contained the fifth as well, leaving a gap and one inner joint loose. Horn-Schenkling, 11177.
