When this reaches you much water will have gone under the bridge. I had a telephone talk with Col. Phillippe yesterday morning proud and like him to tell you I may return at once. This voyage is my rest & after cure. The sea is smooth and the sun shines and I feel that six untroubled days of rest are before me. I wish that [nom illisible] had so pleasing a prospect! You will be glad to know that I am feeling fit and improving rapidly. We all join good wishes and affectionate regards Always your friend Myron T. Au journaliste Marcel Knecht (1882-1964) pour lui demander son aide concernant M. Rose que l'écrivain Brown-Landone (1847-1945) souhaite engager. « My dear M. Knecht: May I refer to you for some information the enclosed letter from Mr. Rose, which explains itself. Mr. Rose is an able and forceful man. Mr. Brown-Landone would like to engage him actively in this work. The inquiry which I beg to make of you on behalf of Mr. Rose is chiefly that contained in the last paragraph of his letter. Your assistance will be highly appreciated. I am hoping to see you again soon as there are many things I would like to discuss with you, but I am kept very busy these days. The last time I was in New York I was called away after only two days there. With assurance of my high regard, believe me Very sincerely yours, Myron T Herrick. Enclosure ». [518]
