‎Grisebach, August Heinrich Rudolf (1814-1879) botaniste allemand. Il est considéré comme l'ancêtre de la Phytosociologie actuelle (science qui étudie les groupements végétaux) En 1872 , il publie « La végétation du globe d’après sa disposition suivant les climats » (Die Vegetation der Erde nach ihrer klimatischen Anordnung). Les climats son le principal facteur de répartition des formations végétales qu’il avait défini en 1838. ‎
