‎Goltzius and the Third Dimension‎

‎Goddard, Stephen H and James A Ganz: Goltzius and the Third Dimension. Exhibition: Williamstown, Clark Art Institute, 2001. 78pp., with 34 colour and 45 monochrome illustrations. Very good condition. Wrappers. 20.5 x 27cms. The aim of this exhibition is to show Goltzius' debt to the Delft sculptor Willem Danielsz van Tetrode as he strove to raise the medium of engraving to the level of sculpture and painting. Tetrode's sculptures of the male nude, after the great classical works and those of the Italian Renaissance, served to inspire Goltzius' work.‎
