Prof. Friedrich Wilhelm Thiersch, dt. Philologe und Pädagoge, gründete das Philologische Seminar in München und nahm auf den humanistischen Lehrplan für die bayerischen Gymnasien entscheidenden Einfluss. Der Widmung an Jacob Herzfelder ist wahrscheinlich der späterer Doctor der Medicin, sein Inaugural-Diss in 1843 ueber syphilis Wurde ebenfalls in Wurzburg verlegt.
