‎François-Guillaume Dumas (1847-1919), publiciste. L.A.S., Paris, 11 avril 1886, 1pŒ in-8 oblong (11 lignes). En-tête de la Revue Illustrée. Il demande à Scholl la possibilité de faire son portrait pour joindre à leur collection. Il cite les personnalités ayant déjà eu leur portrait : François Coppée, Alphonse Daudet, Jules Massenet, Camille Saint-Saëns, etc. ainsi que les artistes les ayant réalisés. Il propose Armand Mathey et demande à Scholl ses possibilités. Scholl a accepté mais ce fut finalement Henri Gervex qui fit le portrait en 1887. [123] ‎
