Library stamps and some annotations.Adolf Engler (1844-1930) and Karl Prantl (1849-1893) were German botanists, famous for their system of plant classification, which is still used by many herbaria and authors of manuals and floras. Together they edited this monumental work, drawing on the expertise of many notable contributors. Although not recent it remains one of the greatest of all plant taxonomic treatises.
