‎Trinity is a milestone in the work of Magnum photographer Carl de Keyzer. It is a triptych on the theme of the omnipresence of power and violence. The title itself refers not only to the traditional image of the Supreme Power in classical painting, but also, for example, to the code name of the ominous project with which Oppenheimer lead a team of atomic physicists to produce the first atom bomb. Based on three probing themes, De Keyzer grabs contemporary power, its senseless violence and worldwide devastation by air with oppressive images: Tableaux d'Histoire, Tableaux de Guerre, Tableaux Politiques. ‎Le Sud-africain Kendell Geers ( 1968) n'est pas particulierement ami avec l'establishment artistique. Pour l'exposition "Crap Shoot", il a fait suivre le curateur Rudi Fuchs par un detective prive pendant une semaine. A Glasgow, il a fait exploser l'un des murs du musee. Ailleurs, il a fait son portrait sur un Hustler, a encadre le resultat avant de pendre la "peinture" dans un musee. Au Palazzo Grassi, il a urine dans l'urinoir de Duchamps. Il explore ainsi en permanence les limites du mal, en imagination, pour l'interpreter sous une forme artistique tres personnelle. Chez Geers, l'art ne porte pas sur l'?uvre d'art elle-meme, mais sur le message qui se cache derriere l'?uvre d'art. Il ne produit son "art" que pour miner l'establishment. Kendell Geers ne veut pas etre etiquete d'artiste, ni d'activiste. Pas artiste parce qu'il manque d'art et pas activiste parce qu'il estime que la situation que connait actuellement le monde ne laisse aucune place aux activistes. Geers ne croit pas en une Utopie, il est plutot interesse par une "dystopie". ‎
