Très longue lettre à propos de ses ouvrages qu'il a envoyés pour la bibliothèque de l'Institut : tragédies, poésies historiques etc. Il parle notamment des « imaginations romantiques vagabondes », de littérature, de Descartes, etc. Peu commun.
