From the 1960s until his death, Cerruti collected more than 300 sculptures and paintings, including works by Bernardo Daddi, Sassetta, Pontormo, Ribera, Batoni, Renoir, Modigliani, Kandinsky, Giacometti, Picasso, Klee, de Chirico, Severini, Boccioni, Balla, and Magritte, as well as Bacon, Burri, Fontana, De Dominicis and Paolini. These are housed in the Villa Cerruti, which opened to the public in 2019, and the catalogue presents them chronologically and thematically. Volume one begins with a section on manuscripts, books, and bindings, followed by entries on paintings, sculptures, and works on paper from the 14th to the 19th century. Volume two continues with artworks from the 20th century, furniture and furnishings, carpets and other textiles, and decorative arts.‎
