‎ Situé entre les possessions anglaises et la Bourgogne, Châteauneuf-Val-de-Bargis fut le théâtre d'événements tragiques au XVIe siècle : sa population avait alors presque disparu. La chartreuse de Bellary, fortement marquée par les invasions, fut néanmoins un centre agricole très important au XIVe siècle, pour atteindre son plus haut niveau de spiritualité avant 1789. L’auteur, curé d’Alligny-en-Morvan, archiviste de la Nièvre et du Morvan, était un remarquable historien. Voir le sommaire sur photos jointes. ‎
