Table of contents at the beginning of the book. An interesting work on American entrepreneurs and the United Fruit company. Written before the smear campaign which tarnished the company's reputation, a true tale of human action and interactions amidst exotic places.‎

He purchased his commission in 1839, was an Ensign by 1842, a captain in 1846 and Lt Colonel in 1854. He served at Alma, Balaclava and Inkemann, as well as at the Siege of Sebastapol. He received the Crimea Medal with 4 bars, and retired by sale in 1855. Died in 1887. 200 by 130mm (7Ÿ by 5 inches).‎
