Édition originale. 126 PHOTOGRAPHIES REPRODUITES EN HÉLIOGRAVURE PAR DRAEGER publiées pour la première fois dans cet ouvrage. Premier grand recueil photographique d'Henri Cartier-Bresson, publié simultanément en version anglaise sous le titre de "The Decisive Moment". L'ouvrage, devenu mythique, rassemble 126 photographies prises entre 1930 et 1950, accompagnées d'un texte de l'auteur.‎

‎Très bel exemplaire, le cartonnage illustré est en excellent état de conservation, le corps d'ouvrage parfait (The Book of 101 Books, p. 208 ; Parr & Badger, The Photobook, vol. I, p. 208-209.)‎
