Monographie de l'artiste autrichien Gottfried Helnwein (né en 1948) à l'occasion d'une rétrospective organisée à Saint-Petersbourg en 1997 par les curateurs Alexander Borovsky, Josef Kiblitsky, le directeur du musée Vladimir Kusev et qui s'achève par une biographie, ainsi qu'une bibliographie de l'artiste. Débute par le texte de Peter Selz : L'Artiste, le Provocateur (1970-1988), se poursuit par les Dessins et Travaux sur papier, les Autoportarits et se termine par les Travaux pour le théâtre, article de William Burroughs. Influencé par l'artiste Arnulf Rainer et les Actionnistes viennois Gottfried Helwein produit des performances dès 1976 intitulées Toujours prêt, se produisant allongé dans la rue, la tête toujours bandée. Exemplaire en très bonne condition.
