Gravé par Malles sous la direction de Bonnet, d’après Henri-Nicolas Van GORP (1756 - 1819). Belles épreuves de l’état définitif. Cadres modernes. Très bon fin XVIIIè 38 x 40 (avec cadre)

Finissima incisione realizzata nella bottega del celebre incisore Louis Marin Bonnet (1736-1793) realizzata alla "Maniere de crayon" un processo di incisione inventato da Bonnet stesso che utilizzava il lavaggio e la matita al fine di imitare il pastello originale. La tecnica inizialmente era molto laboriosa e costosa, venivano utilizzate fino a otto lastre per ogni stampa e relativamente fragile (la durata delle lastre era davvero minima). Operò da solo poi nella sua bottega di Parigi a partire dal 1772. Ampi margini, forte impressione su spessa carta vergellata.
