‎Berggreen schrieb u.a. eine Oper, Musik zu mehreren Dramen, Klavierstücke u. Lieder. Er war Gesangslehrer an der Metropolitanschule in Kopenhagen und später Gesangsinspektor der öffentlichen Lehranstalten.‎

‎Exceedingly rare official account of the jubilee (“secularfest”) of the Copenhagen based St. Johannes lodge ”Zorobabel til Nordstjernen”, one of the earliest lodges of Danish Freemasonry. Printed “som Manuscript for Brødre,” i.e. for private circulation among members only, and thus never intended for the book trade. The volume contains a detailed and ceremonially structured report of the festivities including speeches, addresses and texts on the ideals, historical consciousness, and institutional self-understanding of Danish Masonry. Publications of this kind - semi-official lodge printings documenting major internal celebrations - were printed in very small numbers and are rarely found in the trade. As such, they rank among the scarcest publications of Nordic Masonic works.‎
