Binding with some use at extremities, upper joint split over ca. 5 cm, ex-library with some stamps on title. Interior and plates fine. Still a good copy of the first original edition with the folding plates in fine condition. The University of Cambridge started only in 2011 with an update of this catalogue. The catalogue describes the books collected by Dr. Daniel Wright and contains e.g. the oldest dated illustrated Sanskrit manuscript. The very fine plates represent the earliest illustrations in the Western world of the physical appearence of Tibetan books.
