Le livre est lui en bien meilleure condition, si ce n'est un très léger pli au coin supérieur de certains feuillets. ‎

‎Si on trouve de nombreux exemplaires dans les pays anglo-saxons (principalement aux Etats-Unis), cet ouvrage est bien moins courant sous nos latitudes. Fac-similé d'un extraordinaire carnet de croquis de Charles Altamont Doyle, père d'Arthur, peintre de son état et qui fut interné à plusieurs reprises. Les textes des croquis, pas toujours très lisibles, sont tous retranscrits en fin de volume. ‎
