E' composta di 4 fogli, montati su tela, ciascuno di cm. 64,5 x 73,7, suddivisi in 15 riquadri: vi figurano anche un ritratto del dedicatario, Sir Joseph Banks (President of the Royal Society), e una bellissima veduta che inquadra il titolo. ‎Vienne, Artaria et Compagnie, 1808. En 60 sections montées sur toile et pliées, formant une carte de 1,23 x 1,44 m ; sous étui de papier marbré.‎

‎Très rare carte murale de l'Europe et ses routes de postes, dressée d'après la carte d'Arrowsmith, avec titre en français et en allemand. Elle a été gravée par Johann Spiegl le jeune. Le cartouche de titre en français est décoré d'un angelot, celui du titre en allemand est orné d'attributs militaires et scientifiques. La carte, dressée sous Napoléon, couvre l'empire de Russie avec la mer Noire et la Crimée, l'empire de Turquie et la Méditerranée avec l'Afrique du Nord. Elle a été publiée à Vienne par les cousins Carlo Artaria (1747-1808) et Francesco Artaria (1744-1808), fondateurs de la maison d'édition cartographique "Artaria & Co". Bel exemplaire avec contours aquarellés à l'époque. Défauts d'usage à l'étui.‎
