An oblong, softbound book of 21.5 x 14 cm, 133 pp. SIGNED in Spanish by Betty Haoa with a blue ink ballpen on the title page: "Para Francisco, de parde de Betty Hoao, 12.03.97" First and only edition. Written in English and Spanish. With a few black and white illustrations, the basics of Rapanui grammar and lists of words. Seal of the Easter Island Foundation on the back cover. Originally from Easter Island, Betty Haoa was educated in Chile. She graduated as a kinesiologist from the Catholic University of the North in Antofagasta (Chile) in 1982. Since 1993, she's been the head of the William Mulloy Library (Easter Island).
Some rubbing and color loss on the red frontcover, title page is yellowed, inside is clean. A scarce title, even more bearing the signature of the author.
