Albert Rémy inventa le diploscope en 1902. Il publia plusieurs écrits à ce sujet, et décida de réunir toutes ces informations dans cet ouvrage. Le diploscope est un appareil destiné à étudier la vision binoculaire, dans son fonctionnement normal ou altéré. L'auteur considère cet instrument comme un appareil de recherches, de diagnostic et d'expertise. Envoi autographe signé au professeur Rollet. Cachet du professeur Rollet. ‎1917 vii, 170 p., 71 figures (including 2 plates), frontispiece (= portrait), contemporary half sheepskin (basane) with marbled boards (original printed covers bound in). Marbled endpapers. Some rubbing on spine. A few pages have a small (blank) corner missing. This copy has the author’s dedication on half-title which reads: ‘’Mon cher Blum. Pendant 9 ans vous avez suivi assidûmentmes leçons à ma clinique de Dijon. Vous avez donc bien merite de la patrie. 8bre 1917 A. Remy’’. Strangely enough a second half-title of this work is loosely inserted with another dedication reading: ‘’A mon éleve & ami Dr. Legrand. Hommage de l’auteur A. Remy. Rare.‎
