Restauri alla cerniera superiore. Lievi bruniture al testo ma le tavole sono fresche e in bella coloritura dell'epoca. L'opera e le tavole descrivono i vari "caratteri, costumi e maniere" degli inglesi, questa divertente esplorazione degli alti e bassi della società londinese è un adattamento fedele del popolarissimo "Life in London" di Pierce Egan. Il volume esplora la storia di Egan di Tom, Jerry e Logic, un gruppo di amici le cui disavventure li portano dai quartieri più alla moda di Londra ai bassifondi più poveri. Le meravigliose illustrazioni mostrano il trio prendere parte a ogni sorta di malizia e allegria, tra cui partecipare a un ballo in maschera, socializzare nell'atrio affollato di un teatro, visitare un sarto su misura, prendere lezioni di boxe, fare baldoria in una chiassosa birreria e, forse inevitabilmente, comparire davanti a un poliziotto.
