Announcing the Duc d'Orléans as the new King after the fall of the Bourbons and the triomph of the Charte Constitutionelle. The Charter of 1814 and the slightly revised Charter of 1830 provided the basis of the French political and legal structure even today (Historical Dictionary of France from the 1815 Restoration to the Second Republic, vol. i, pp. 192-199). Signed 31 juillet 1830 and followed by a declaration of the Commisison Municipale de Paris of 4 articles concerning the creation of a Garde nationale. ‎
