Revised edition by the French Jesuit Philippi Labbe (1607-1667) of an early bibliographical survey of ecclesiastical writers by R. Bellarmino (1542-1621), first published in Rome in 1613.

Edition with chronology (a table with years, popes, emperors, oriental tyrants, varia) brought up to date to 1718. Roberto Bellarmino, 1542-1621, jesuit, cardinal since 1599, author of the Catechism, influential theologian and first jesuit professor to teach at Louvain university.
