(Rednesses.) 14 beautiful sights of the castle of Veauce, built in XIe century on a rock peak in Combining it, in the north of Clermont-Ferrand. In 1400, the seigniory of Veauce was set up in baronnie by the king Louis II of Bourbon in favor of Robert Dauphin, knight, lord of Royne and Veauce. After the death of Charles of Bourbon, the castle concerned directly the crown and, since, several famous families followed one another there, of which one of the most former families of Bourbonnais, of CADIER of VEAUCE. The castle, in very bad condition in the middle of the 19th century, profited between 1841 and 1846 from important work of restoration on the initiative of Charles Eugene from CADIER, baron of VEAUCE (1820-1884). | 14 belles vues du château de Veauce, construit au XIe siècle sur un pic rocheux dans l'Allier, au nord de Clermont-Ferrand. En 1400, la seigneurie de Veauce fut érigée en baronnie par le roi Louis II de Bourbon en faveur de Robert Dauphin, chevalier, seigneur de Royne et de Veauce. Après la mort de Charles de Bourbon, le château releva directement de la couronne et, depuis, plusieurs familles illustres s'y sont succédées, dont l'une des plus anciennes familles du Bourbonnais, les de CADIER de VEAUCE. Le château, en très mauvais état au milieu du 19e siècle, bénéficia entre 1841 et 1846 de travaux de restauration importants à l'initiative de Charles Eugène de CADIER, baron de VEAUCE (1820-1884). |
